Kites!

I love kites! I'm going to have to start making them.
btw, Katherine took this picture.

Ideas

This is where I've spent most of my time lately. I usually sit just to the right of this picture. Antoine and Pat (shown) seem never to be here at the same time, and in both cases I think it's got something to do with babies.

Canada!

I wrote my citizenship test today! I wrote in a big federal building downtown. I was glad to find out that this wasn't my line. (It's for passports.) My line only took an hour, and the woman behind me in it said she had to wait five hours in this one a few weeks before.

Yesterday's picture

This is the protestant college on campus. I took it early yesterday morning, just after the day before yesterday's picture. We had a distinguished professor come to consider taking a position in our department and I told him and his wife that this was some government building or something. Then, 10 minutes later, when they asked where the protestant college on campus was, I said I didn't know. I know now.

Working Late

I think I worked for about 16 hours without stopping. This is me waiting for the bus. I gave up soon after.

Chinese Opera

Oh, wait, we didn't go bowling, we went to Chinese Opera yesterday. I wish I could kick sticks the way that blue-green snake lady could.

More Art

Dad wanted more art. This is on one of my walks to school.

South Edmonton Sucks

The south part of the city is full of nothing. It ain't got no soul. We had to go down there to go bowling with the government yesterday. I think I averaged 55.

Cross

Katherine subscribed to the NYT crossword after seeing wordplay, but we don't like it any more. It's full of Americanisms, like Smoot. If it had OHL questions instead of Atlantic 10 questions, we'd be happier. So, we got the Globe and Mail.

Features Too Advacnced for Me

It turns out multi-burst doesn't mean take many pictures, it means take many tiny pictures and stick them together in one. (I don't know how you could convince yourself of this, but each of these pictures is slightly different.) About 15 or 20 of my pictures from New York look like this, including this one from Au Bon Pain, the third one I took with this camera.

Living Spaces

One of my favourite parts of living in Edmonton is all the art that keeps showing up. That should happen everywhere.

Walking Home

Edmonton is melting. I was going to take the bus to Katherine's today, but because of this blog I decided to walk along the edge of the river valley instead.

Suzanne is back from Germany and she brought her camera, which is also a computer. It is full of silly effects. Me and Alessandra tried it out.

New Blog

I will use this to make me use my camera.
