T's mom has to leave, but we're sending her with some friends to remember her trip by.

New friends arrived TO CRUSH US.  We placated them with a small, subservient fief.

Kind of them to call it "food"

Yesterday's storm didn't just knock out power, of course.

Saturday, July 18, 2009

My camera regained power just in time for about 10 blocks of Whyte to lose it.  Mob rule ensued.  Some guys came charging at me screaming and wielding a longboard, but it turns out they just thought I was their Asian friend so they invited me to their hipster party instead.  Not knowing anyone there, not being nearly as drunk as any of them, and dressed more douchester than hipster, I didn't last too long.

Fari took us to Edmonton's new Persian restaurant, Sabzy.  Good times: She and Irina were like sisters who hadn't met, and Alessandra's Russsian is fantastic:
... And I heartily recommend the place, if not for the hookah then at least for the desserts.

More Moms

We have another visiting mom, but instead of Looking at plants, this one likes to cook delicious food in copious quantities.  And take photos, which bodes well for the blog.  And its creator's  stomach.

Live Action Role Playing

Why isn't this cool?  People are hitting eachother with swords!  In a way that is unplanned!  It should be cool.  And yet, it is somehow very not.

Don't be a Knocker!

Fort Edmonton park is a fun place to spend Dominion Day.
Especially if you get in free so you can help out with a vintage dance performance.
