All four of my grandparents moved from the American midwest to California to work menial jobs so their kids could live better lives. We lost the last one today. I'm glad I got to see him a couple of years ago. May he rest in peace.

man, that's a cute picture of grandpa. i think that it's exactly how i remember him, too.
he looks really strikingly a lot like my own grandfather that died last year, actually. i find that comforting, for some completely vague reason.
I took a short video of him at that meeting, but I can't seem to find it.
