With T's mom in town, we had an excuse to take the trolley for the first time, see the downtown farmers' market for the first time, and spend $4 on a giant lemonade.

Kingston day 2

I kept talking about how much I loved the trees out here, so Trev and Sarah took me to Charleston Lake to go flying.

Kingston day 1

Trev and Sarah's hospitality is legendary, and they didn't disappoint. Sarah took me on a tour of Kingston's range of mininum to maximum security Disney-princess-castle prisons.

Well Met

Neil and Lauralee had a fine wedding, and a reception with beautiful speeches and open bars. A fine Kitchener-Waterloo wedding, The groom and his men all wore kilts and the German festhall served everyone chicken _and_ schnitzel.
I'm happy for them.

Life Events

While I'm in town for the wedding there are a few babies for me to meet. A few, um, kids, too.

Hospitality

Andrew and I drove down to Jackson to visit Lisa, Cynthia and Matt. They took us to a waterfall, made us vegetarian food, and greeted us in the driveway with beer Matt brewed himself, poured from a tap he made himself out of a still-functioning computer.

God, being back in Waterloo, it's always like this. Your grade school baseball diamond just got replaced by ten solid blocks of RIM buildings, and Google shares a lot with the same cornfield where you first ever kissed a girl.
