I don't know which is more telling about the professionalism of my [former] landlord, the fact that this "professional" insulation job looks about as shabby and ineffective as my own haphazard attempts to keep my room from freezing over, or the fact that she didn't tell me it was going to be done.

No Anachronistic Joe the Plumber Jokes Please

Because the caretaker didn't want to come from the 'burbs to open the boiler room, the plumber had no choice but to put a temporary patch on the pipe and leave the giant hole in the ceiling. A week later we called the caretaker to see if she understood that THERE WAS A GIANT HOLE IN THE CEILING. There was in fact more hole than ceiling. "Well," she said "I guess that's the next tenant's problem."

We were waiting in line for most of Cat Power's set, and she's the one we paid $50 to see, and we couldn't get in to the beer zone because it closed at 4pm or something, but at least I can say I've been to folk fest.

Yow!

Sullay has this impression that some buses are male and some buses are female, and as near as I can tell it's based on how new they are. I didn't realize that I had internalized it until I saw this bus and my jaw dropped.
