Seasonable

After a free extra month of fall, Winter decided to come suddenly on Tuesday, with serious snow and ferocious -17C temperatures. Koji's response is to dress equally ferociously.

Variety

Jingxia had over Albertans old and new (see below) for dinner tonight. I don't think we expected a 9-dish feast: red bean, eggplant, tofu, cashew, mushroom, beef, pork, chicken, and shark-fin soup. You can see how amazing it was.
(you can also see how few people obeyed my silly-face directive.)

O-ho!

I guess you can never really escape this place. Koji graduated today, and went right from the ceremony to the lab to get back to work. As you can see, though, at least he came back with a little more aplomb.

Farewell

Today was Debra the All-Knowing's last day. She's not going far, though; Modern Languages and Cultural Studies hired her as an APO, which means more money for doing one person's job instead of four. We got a free lunch out of it, but I think we're losing on the deal.
