Foiled. Again.

I don't know why I was expecting anything different. The store is called Fabricland. They sell Fabric. If I want red wool batting or roving for making valenki, I should go to RedWoolBattingAndRovingForMakingValenkiLand. At least they had buttons.

This experience begs me to quote Alanis Morissette.

"You live you learn
You love you learn
You cry you learn
You lose you learn"

Go to the nearest car store. Buy a car. Drive to the suburbs. Locate the big box store car mall. There, you will find a store called Michael's. It has silk flowers and wicker baskets and needle point patterns and probably the wool or whatever the hell it is you are talking about.

Good idea - AMT is actually going to rent a car next weekend, and now I know where I want it to take me. I actually bought the muppet fun-fur at Michael's in Nashville.

If Michael's doesn't have it, you could try Ewe Asked For It (6523 111 Street). There is also The Notion Place, or River City Yarns, but Jesse says that Ewe Asked For It has the cheapest wool batting, although sometimes the colours are limited.

Alison, your comment makes me very, very angry, but not at you, so you should ask me about it some time.

... Nevermind. If I had known on Saturday where Alison's suggestion, "The Place With Wool and Puns", is located, I would not have experienced the joy of Phil's comment: "Once, I was trying to cross a ravine full of snow, and there was approximately this much of snow everywhere, and I was wearing approximately this stupid of shoe."
